2021 adopt a share program

San Francisco Suites on Nob Hill

2021 ADOPT-A-SHARE PROGRAM

Greetings, Everyone!

As you may know, certain shares owned by the Association are periodically offered for adoption by owners, by friends and family of owners, or by individuals interested in the Suites.  This year we have Parlor shares for adoption at $1402.00 per share. The cost includes the 2021 assessment of $1,372.00 plus the property tax of $30.00. The Adopt-A-Share year will begin July 15, 2021, and end July 31, 2022.

We will accept email requests for adoption during normal reservation times until 12 noon PST on Thursday, July 1.  All names received will be pooled and a drawing will be held on Friday, July 2, at 11 a.m. PST. Please be advised that the Association has imposed a restriction on adopted shares that prohibits them from being rented to third parties, and they cannot be exchanged or sold through a Time Share company. They may be used only by the adopter, by his or her immediate family, and by those persons designated by owners as being entitled to Bonus Time.

The San Francisco Suites City Share Association’s governing documents, including all Rules & Regulations, do apply to the adopted shares.

PLEASE NOTE: Payments must be received by July 15, 2021.

Thank you in advance for your interest and participation in the Adopt-A-Share Program.

Best Regards,

June 6, 2021

Dear San Francisco Suites Owner,

Summer in the City has begun in San Francisco, and we eagerly await your arrival back to your “home away from home.”

On June 15th most of the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions in California will be lifted although we will need to wait to hear what the County of San Francisco will still require.

This past May I attended a meeting of the SF Hotel Council, to listen to Mayor Breed and Dr. Susan Phillip, Acting Health Official from the Department of Health, explain what the reopening will look like for hotels – and timeshares.

Mayor Breed emphasized the importance of conventions returning to the city for the health and prosperity of the hospitality industry.

Dr. Phillip addressed the lifting of the current 25% occupancy restriction in hotels to a return of 100% room availability and the removal of the current requirement to ventilate rooms 24 hours prior to check in and after check out. She advised that if all housekeepers are vaccinated, maid service can resume, and staff might once again assist guests with luggage. Hotels can hold functions in meeting rooms, and food and beverage service may be offered.

So, please call the Front Desk to re-book your share time if you had been placed on a wait list. Call to reserve your special event in the Board Room. You can now look forward to meeting owners and guests in the lobby in the afternoon since the Wine Hour will return in all its glory.

Dr. Phillip explained that OSHA has agreed that if all hotel staff are fully vaccinated, they will be allowed to sit together without a mask to have lunch or to attend a meeting. After talking to our staff, I think that most will continue wearing masks even though all the employees at the Suites have been vaccinated.

Until we hear further details from the City, when you arrive at the Suites you will need to wear a mask while in the public areas, but when you leave to venture outside you can remove your mask.

I have heard many owners say that the reason they purchased their share was to attend theatre and concerts, visit the museums, and enjoy the famous San Francisco restaurants.

This June everything we love about San Francisco returns:

  • Stern Grove concerts reopen on June 20th through August 29th. Bring a blanket and a picnic and enjoy the music while sitting in the grove.

  • ACT Theatre presents: “Communion” on June 5 and the musical, “Tales of the City” opens June 21st.

  • “Hamilton” returns to the Orpheum on August 10th to September 5th.

  • San Francisco Symphony resumes concerts on June 10th.

  • My favorite lunch is at the Rotunda, which reopens on June 15th: the lobster club sandwich.

This has been such a challenging year, but now you can return with your family and friends to the Suites and celebrate!

  • The Houseman will greet you at the door and assist you with your luggage.

  • Your Concierge staff, Eric, Andrew, and Susan will be ready to plan your stay, including recommendations for the new restaurants that have just opened or reservations at your old favorites.

  • Gloria and the Housekeepers will make sure that the linens are fresh and that the chandeliers sparkle

Lastly, when you arrive at the Powell Street entrance look to your right. You will see on our new San Francisco city flag the phoenix rising from the ashes. This is the perfect symbol for San Francisco and the San Francisco Suites.

We have all endured immense hardship during the past year, but now we are rising from this pandemic to be able to once again celebrate Summer in the City!

Warmest wishes,
Cynthia Reid
